You will learn how to use the pattern, how to sew clothing seams with a polished finish, how to sew bias tape and curved hems, and so much more! In this class we will make a simple shirt that is a fashionable wardrobe staple. It is cute and easy that you will want to customize and sew again and again. When you register, your pattern and fabric information will be emailed to you.

At the end of this class, you will walk away knowing how to:

  • Use and assemble a pdf pattern.

  • Sew different kinds of seams while learning garment construction.

  • Learn how to sew bias tape and curved hems.

  • You will have something you made that you can wear.

  • You will have practiced garment construction and sewing that will allow you to make more clothing and create other types of projects.

Learn all about garment construction in our intimate studio environment and start making your own clothing.

I wanted to learn how to sew and take the Fair Fit classes so that I could learn how to make my own clothing. I do not particularly like the clothing styles they have out right now. The styles do not really fit my body type. I also like clothing that’s not going to fall apart or look dull after just a couple of washes. I figure if I can learn to make my own clothing, it will help solve these issues. What I like most about the Fair Fit classes are the awesome tricks that Andrea shows us. Those little tricks save so much time while sewing. They also help make sewing easier and more enjoyable while working on projects. The zipper trick is by far my favorite!
