Me Made May 2017 #MMM2017 - Week 4 Round Up!
As the summer heats up, this week I am showing on my instagram @fairfit some of my go to summer dresses that help me survive our Louisiana heat. These are the dresses I wear working in the studio, teaching, or out running about in Baton Rouge. In this fourth post in a series for Me Made May 2017, I am sharing a daily look at my self sewn wardrobes and the custom pieces I've made this last year.
ME MADE MAY 2017 DAY 21 - CLOTH HABIT HARRIET BRA
Me Made May Day 21 - #bramaking adventure 2 with @clothhabit #harrietbra in another vintage poly- actually, its the same fabric I made the @musepatterns #gillianwrapdress from in my previous post. Lace, elastic, and fixings are from @tailormadeshop and the black lace I found somewhere in Houston- I'm kind of scared that its not really lingerie lace and it's probably not going to last that long.
ME MADE MAY 2017 DAY 22 - GRAINLINE STUDIO FARROW DRESS
Me Made May Day 22 - My @grainlinestudio #farrowdress this one was made from another vintage fabric that was the perfect weight and drape for the farrow. It's also a great dress for this crazy Louisiana climate where you just want to wear the lightest thing possible to survive the summer. photo by @dovecotephotostudio
ME MADE MAY 2017 DAY 23 - FAIR FIT RAGLAN DRESS IN HEIRLOOM REPURPOSE
Me Made May Day 23 - Heirloom Repurpose dress using the Fair Fit Dress Raglan Sleeve pattern. I'm calling a repurpose of a repurpose "heirloom repurpose." This dress is my favorite thing I made all month- if you want to see the process, I just posted how the path I took to make it here on the blog.
ME MADE MAY 2017 DAY 24 - DEER AND DOE PATTERNS CARDAMOM DRESS
Me Made May Day 24 - How cute is Hank? I just want to squeeze him. I'm in one of my favorites @deer_and_doe_patterns #ddcardamome dress. photo @dovecotephotostudio
ME MADE MAY 2017 DAY 25 - FAIR FIT DRESS WITH CLEAN RAW FINISH
Me Made May Day 25 - Fair Fit Dress Version 2 made from hand dyed cotton. The Fair Fit Dress is a teaching tool, but it's also a gateway pattern to help whoever makes it learn more about customization. The in the video dashboard of the course, you can choose different forms of sewing to create the finishing you prefer. If you'd like to see how I'm teaching the course, and learn more about the videos and what you will learn, I wrote all about it in this blog post. photo @dovecotephotostudio
